Insured, reinsured losses from winter floods exceed $1 billion

Swiss catastrophe data provider Perils AG has estimated the insured and reinsured losses from severe winter 2020 windstorms and floods in the U.K. at £778 million ($1.1 billion), Artemis reported. Flooding began in November 2019 and continued through February 2020, when storms Ciara, Dennis and Jorge struck the region, causing floods and wind-related losses.
