Reinsurance renewals to see more pronounced rate hikes

Analysts at U.S.-based Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC expect more pronounced rate hikes during reinsurance renewals in April, June and July after rates increased during January renewals, Artemis reported. Although pricing hikes at January renewals were not as steep as previously expected, the market’s increased pricing expectations are likely to benefit the 2021 reinsurance renewals.
