According to a report, about 15% of insurance-linked securities managers and collateralized reinsurance funds have reserved more than 4% of capital for losses caused by pandemic-induced business interruption claims, Artemis reported. The report by Australia-based investment advice consultancy Frontier Advisors Pty. Ltd. indicates that these ILS funds are mostly higher-risk focused strategies, with significant allocations to retrocessional reinsurance and quota shares.
