ILS, cat bonds to witness elevated investor interest: S&P

A report by S&P Global Ratings Inc. predicted elevated investor interest in insurance-linked securities, catastrophe bonds and industry loss warranty contracts once the financial market volatility and uncertainty has ebbed, Artemis reported. Cat bonds, ILS funds focused on other structures, such as collateralized reinsurance and industry loss warranty contracts have significantly outperformed many other alternative asset classes through the COVID-19 pandemic-induced market volatility.
