BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Power firm fined over 2014 mine fire

The Supreme Court of Victoria has fined Australia-based Hazelwood Power Corp. Pty. Ltd. nearly $2 million Australia ($1.3 million) over the 2014 Latrobe Valley mine fire which burned for 45 days, ABC News reports. The fire was started by a bushfire burning into the brown coal reserve. The jury found that the company failed to adequately assess the risk of fire, did not have an adequate reticulated water system, failed to slash vegetation around the mine and left it too late to start wetting down areas around the mine.
