Regulation reversal to hit marine hull insurers

Dody Achmad Sudiyar Dalimunthe, executive director of the Indonesian General Insurance Association, said that the government's decision to revoke a regulation making it compulsory for coal exporters to use locally registered vessels would negatively affect the marine hull insurance sector, Asia Insurance Review reports. The regulation was initially set to take effect in April 2018 but the government delayed implementation until May 2020.
