Private ILS contract exposed to Australian bushfires

Swiss insurance-linked securities manager Twelve Capital AG said that private collateralized ILS contract has potential exposure to the ongoing Australian bushfires, Artemis reported. So far it had been assumed that most of the impacts from the bushfires would be retained by primary insurers, and to some extent the reinsurance market, most likely through quota shares and aggregate layers.
