A report by Dutch research organization Responsible Mining Foundation found that half of large mining companies do not keep track of how they are managing tailing dams-related risks such as seepage and collapse, Mining.com reported. The report comes after last month’s tailing dam disaster at Vale’s Córrego do Feijão mining complex in Brazil, which left at least 140 dead.
