Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer Axis Capital Holdings Ltd. doubled the volume of its premiums ceded through insurance-linked securities to third-party capital partners to nearly $600 million in 2018, Artemis.bm reports. Additionally, Axis Capital ceded $183 million to its special reinsurance joint venture, Harrington Re Ltd.
