A survey by U.S.-based consultancy firm Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu found that organizations worldwide are focusing on extended enterprise risk management such as supply-chains as business increasingly rely on outside vendors and contractors, Continuity Central reported. Nearly half of respondents said that their organizations had experienced risk incidents related to their use of external entities in the last three years.
