An explosion at China-based Xinjiang Xinzhi Energy Chemicals Co.'s plant in the Xinjiang region on Dec. 25 killing three people and injuring six, Hazardex reported citing sources. The blast occurred while workers were performing tests on a rotary lime kiln. Industrial fires and explosions have been on the rise in China in recent years as the country expands manufacturing activities.
