BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Alternative capital accounts for 16% of global reinsurance: Aon

U.K.-based insurance broker Aon P.L.C.'s unit said that alternative capital accounted for 16% of global reinsurance capital in the first quarter, Artemis.bm reports. Aon Securities Ltd. said that the amount of alternative capital grew 7% to $95 billion from $89 billion in the fourth quarter of 2017. Traditional reinsurance sector capital remained flat at $515 billion.
