Lloyd's of London is looking at collateralized reinsurance instruments such as insurance-linked securities and catastrophe bonds to protect its balance-sheet and capacity, Artemis.bm reports. The market is looking at a broader use of ILS and collateralized reinsurance structures as a way to increase its capacity and offload excess risks to third-parties.
