More than 70% of cyclone Debbie-related claims finalized: Insurance regulator

Data from the Insurance Council of Australia indicates that more than 70% of claims related to cyclone Debbie have been settled, Daily Mercury reported. The Whitsundays region lodged 13,500 claims and 72% of those have been closed. From an estimated insured damage bill of $331 million Australia ($263 million) from the Whitsundays region, AUD 108 million had been paid to date.
