Analysts said that China's anti-graft investigation of the chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission could lead to more intense regulatory scrutiny of the insurance industry, Reuters reported citing sources. A crackdown could put particular focus on perceived risks that have emerged in the sector in recent years, such as high-yielding investment products and speculative acquisitions by insurers.
