Hiscox Re healthcare insurance team transfers to Ascot in Bermuda

A healthcare insurance team comprising five members from reinsurer Hiscox Re will be transferred to Ascot Underwriting Bermuda Ltd. following an agreement between the companies, reports The Royal Gazette.
“Although we are no longer writing healthcare from Bermuda, this transfer does not impact our other healthcare insurance lines.
We are open for business in the London market and have a growing appetite for retail healthcare business in Hiscox USA and Hiscox UK”, said the specialty insurer Hiscox Ltd. The transfer will allow Hiscox to focus on its core reinsurance operations.
