Cyber attack suspected behind Ukraine power outage

Security experts are investigating whether a power outage that affected parts of the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, and the surrounding region on Dec. 17 and 18 was the result of a cyber attack, PC World reported. The incident affected the automation control systems at the northern power substation near Novi Petrivtsi leading to complete power loss for the northern part of Kiev and the surrounding region.
