Aviation systems subject to an average of 1,000 attacks every month: OfficialReprints
Luc Tytgat, an official at the European Aviation Safety Agency, has said that aviation systems were subject to an average of 1,000 attacks every month, reported EurActiv.
Mr. Tytgat said that cyber threats to aviation sector must be taken "seriously."
He urged all EASA partners and cyber experts in E.U. member states to develop a common strategy to minimize risks.
EASA said that on-the-ground networks connected to planes are less secure than those installed on the aircraft.
It is feared that terrorists could someday be able to crash planes or make them disappear from radar screens.
