To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Quake payouts top $2.9 billion

The General Insurance Association of Japan has said that insurance payouts for damage to dwellings from the April earthquakes that hit Kumamoto Prefecture have now topped $2.9 billion, reported Artemis.bm.

Payouts from both Japanese and foreign nonlife insurers have increased 13% in a week. About 82% of the claims have been paid out to policyholders, the association said.
