The Luxembourg-based Nuclear Industry Reinsurance Association's managing director Danny Van Welkenhuyzen has said that the association is seeking to write more business in the Middle East as many nations in the region look to set up nuclear facilities, reports Middle East Insurance Review.
“Reinsurers in the region have either limited or no involvement in nuclear,” said Mr. Van Welkenhuyzen. “Because this is such a restricted market, nuclear insurers are looking for net line reinsurance capacity," he added.
