Volkswagen Korea estimates recall cost at $6.7 million: Sources

Sources have said that German automaker Volkswagen A.G.'s South Korean unit expects the cost of fixing its emission-faked vehicles to total 8 billion South Korean won ($6.7 million), reports Yonhap News Agency.

The sources said that the total estimated cost of the recall process is a "conservative" one and does not include expenses related to the production and shipping of the needed parts. The company plans to recall about 125,000 vehicles in the first half of 2016 "after getting approval from authorities," the sources added.
