Only 40% of U.K. travel insurers provide coverage for terrorism-related disruptions

Research conducted by The Telegraph has found that only 40% of UK travel insurers will provide reimbursement on claims related to terrorism or civil unrest, reports The Telegraph.

Direct Line, Post Office, Age UK, Axa and Biba Protect are the only ones among the 20 major travel insurers in the country to cover claims for out-of-pocket expenses on standard policies if a flight is cancelled or delayed on account of such disruptions.

Six more insurers reimburse claims for medical treatment, personal injury or the cost of repatriation if a traveler suffers death or injury due to a terror threat.
