Chile's finance minister Rodrigo Valdes said at the recent International Monetary Fund and World Bank annual meetings that the country is looking into catastrophe bonds as a potential source of disaster risk financing, reports Artemis.bm.

Chile has experienced eight major disasters in the past two years.
