The Guy Carpenter Asia-Pacific Climate Impact Centre has said in a report that there will be slightly below-average cyclone formations and landfalls for the 2015 season, reported Artemis.bm.
The 2015 season will see 19.9 tropical cyclone formations, said the report, adding that 10.3 of these cyclones will make landfall.
The Asia-Pacific region is experiencing strong El Nino conditions currently and this is likely to continue throughout 2015, said the report.
"Climate change will continue to impact the fast developing Asia-Pacific region in significant ways," an official said.
