Property cat reinsurance rates still attractive: Argo CEO

Mark Watson, CEO of Bermudan insurer and reinsurer Argo Group International Holdings Ltd., has said that although property catastrophe reinsurance pricing has declined steeply, the current prices are still attractive for reinsurers and better than insurance on a risk adjusted basis, Artemis.bm reports.

Although the rates have come down, "they're still higher than they were pre-Katrina, Rita and Wilma" in 2005, said Mr. Watson.
