To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

RenaissanceRe gets regulatory nod to acquire Platinum Underwriters

Bermudan reinsurer RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd. said that it has received all regulatory approvals for acquisition of fellow Bermuda-based reinsurer Platinum Underwriters Holdings Ltd., Bernews reported.

"The transaction remains subject to approval by the shareholders of Platinum," said RenaissanceRe. If the deal gets a nod from Platinum's shareholders in a meeting scheduled on Feb. 27, the deal would be closed on March 2, RenaissanceRe said.
