2014 busiest year with ILS and cat bond market reaching $8.8 billion

With the insurance-linked securities and catastrophe bond issuance reaching $8.8 billion, 2014 has been the busiest year for the market so far, The Royal Gazette reports citing financial website Artemis.bm.

The outstanding sum in the sector totaled more than $25 billion.

"With market participants expecting a strong deal pipeline in 2015, and investor interest remaining strong, we hope to see the ILS market surpass this year's total in 2015," Artemis.bm said.
