Iran: Insurance sector nearing competition as foreign insurers resume business

Gabriel Bejjani, an official at Nasco Karaoglan Group, has said that Iran's insurance sector would become competitive and shortly find a place in the country's capital market, Islamic Republic News Agency reports.

The France-based insurer is among foreign players that are resuming operations in the country. Nasco has opened an office in Tehran. Communications between Iranian insurers and global firms would pave the way for Iran's entry in global markets, Mr. Bejjani said.
