Germany: Gas pipeline blast in Ludwigshafen kills one, damages 25 buildings

A gas pipeline explosion rocked the German city of Ludwigshafen leaving around 11 people injured and one dead.

The blast caused 200-meter tall flames and created a crater that was 10 meters in diameter, reported RT.com. Around 25 buildings were damaged by the explosion. The blast is said to have happened when workers were trying to dig down to a buried gas line, reported RT.com citing Deutsche Welle.
