BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Malta plans to bring together special purpose reinsurers with protected cells

Malta's Financial Services Authority has proposed bringing together special purpose reinsurers with protected cells, Artemis.bm reported.

The move comes at a time when the E.U. nation is looking to make itself a domicile for the catastrophe bond, insurance-linked securities and reinsurance convergence market.

Other regions that have been looking to tap the cat bond and ILS segments include the Isle of Man, Gibraltar and Puerto Rico.
