The Washington-based Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers has announced two staff appointments.
Matt Kistler has been named director of membership development. In that role, he will be responsible for increasing the CIAB's membership, retaining existing members and helping craft a “market-driven business development plan,” according to a statement issued Tuesday by the CIAB announcing the appointments.
Mr. Kistler was previously a business development executive with Conner Insurance Agency in Indianapolis.
David Unnewehr has been appointed director of strategic resources. In this role, Mr. Unnewehr will be responsible for conducting research and providing expertise on property/casualty insurance and employee benefits coverages in the area of CIAB policy and overall industry affairs. He served previously as assistant vp-policy development and research, at the Washington-based American Insurance Assn.
