The National Council on Compensation Insurance on Thursday launched an online navigational tool for workers compensation stakeholders to better understand court cases that may have an effect on the treatment of injured workers and comp costs.
“Court Case Insights” will provide information and interpretations of court cases reported by NCCI’s legal team, the Boca Raton, Florida-based ratings agency said in a statement.
“Court Case Insights offers an even easier way to view what NCCI is monitoring in the courts relative to workers compensation,” Bill Donnell, president and CEO of NCCI, said in the statement. “This is a modern, efficient approach that we anticipate industry stakeholders will value.”
NCCI began publishing Court Case Update in January 2018, and since then, has reported on almost 100 cases, according to the statement.
A recent court case in Kentucky that retroactively limits workers compensation benefits caught the attention of the National Council on Compensation Insurance, which issued a news release about the case Friday.
