Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. has partnered with tech company Duck Creek Technologies LLC to develop a new workers compensation claims platform, the company announced in a news release Monday.
The multiyear partnership will involve the creation of a fully integrated workers comp claims management system that blends functional and technical capabilities, said Boston-based Liberty Mutual.
The system will allow Liberty to replace its two legacy systems with a single platform that the company said will add value to its workers comp policyholders and clients of its third-party administrator, Helmsman Management Services LLC, according to the release.
The company said it selected Boston-based Duck Creek because of its “mature” software as a service product and ability to develop a custom solution with a codeless configuration.
The release did not state when the platform is expected to be available.
Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. has agreed to buy the credit and surety reinsurance operations of Amtrust Financial Services Inc., the insurer announced Monday.
