BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Delaware employers saved more than $9 million in workers compensation insurance costs last year, the state Department of Insurance said.

Businesses that participated in the Delaware Workplace Safety Program had the opportunity to earn up to 19% off their workers comp premiums by passing voluntary safety inspections, the department said in a Tuesday statement.

More than 1,400 employers enrolled in the program in 2015 and saved a total of $9.3 million, according to an estimate by the Delaware Compensation Ratings Bureau.

The department also recovered about $1 million for consumers last year by advocating for policyholders during disputes with insurance companies, according to the statement. In addition, facilitating arbitration hearings on behalf of consumers led to more than $816,000 in awards, according to the statement.
