BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Managed care services provider Genex buys M Hayes

Managed care services provider Genex Services L.L.C. has acquired Hunt Valley, Maryland-based managed care company M Hayes.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The founders of M Hayes, President and CEO Melinda Hayes and professional services director Helen Froehlich, will take leadership positions at Genex to help ensure a seamless transition for customers, Genex said Friday in a statement.

“Our acquisition of M Hayes underscores Genex's strong commitment to clinical services and the critical role they play in controlling medical costs and disability duration,” Genex President and CEO Peter Madeja said in the statement. “Combining these capabilities with our broad continuum of managed care services allows us to bring additional case management expertise to our customers and improve outcomes by returning injured workers back to work quickly and safely.”

The acquisition brings the number of Genex employee case managers to more than 1,600, according to the statement.
