Guy Carpenter recruits Willis, Aon executives

Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC, the reinsurance business of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc., has recruited executives James Johns as managing director and Joshua O’Donoghue as senior vice president in its non-marine specialty division from rivals Willis Towers Watson PLC and Aon PLC, respectively.
Mr. Johns will be a leading broker and account executive providing property risk and catastrophe reinsurance for direct and facultative clients and joins Guy Carpenter on Aug. 12, 2021. He will be based in London and report to Stephen Firmin, managing director, non-marine specialty for Guy Carpenter.
Mr. Johns most recently was an executive director specializing in London Market property reinsurance for Willis Re.
Mr. O’Donoghue, who will be a senior broker and account executive focusing on property retrocession and direct and facultative reinsurance placements, will join Guy Carpenter Nov. 8, 2021. Based in London, he will report to Roland Morse, managing director, non-marine specialty for Guy Carpenter.
Mr. O’Donoghue was most recently a non-marine retrocession broker with Aon.
