BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Amwins Program Underwriters said Thursday it has developed Alarm Contractors, a coverage program for alarm installation contractors.

Alarm Contractors includes commercial general liability, professional liability, property and inland marine coverage that can be configured to the needs of specific alarm installation contractors including fire, burglar, residential/commercial/industrial, closed-circuit television, home theater and home automation.

Limits of coverage available are $1 million/$2 million for general liability; $100,000 for Inland marine; $5 million for property; and up to $5 million for umbrella, according to an email from an Amwins spokeswoman.

The program is available in most states and underwritten on an admitted basis by Fortegra Specialty Insurance Co., part of Fortegra Financial Corp., a specialty insurer and subsidiary of Tiptree Inc.

Amwins Program Underwriters is a managing general agency within the underwriting division of Charlotte, North Carolina-based Amwins Group Inc., the largest wholesale broker.
