For an added 15 cents on the new fish sandwich at Popeyes, you can get insurance. If you don’t love the Cajun Flounder Sandwich, they’ll give you that beloved Chicken Sandwich instead.
The fast-food chicken chain is launching its new sandwich Thursday, promising it will be a hit with sandwich lovers who lined up for the chicken sandwich that made headlines two years ago.
The new sandwich features a fried fish filet, seasoned in a blend of the Louisiana brand’s Cajun seasoning and served atop a buttery toasted brioche bun, complete with barrel-cured pickles and Popeyes’ legacy tartar sauce.
“After seeing the response to our Chicken Sandwich in 2019, we are excited to deliver yet another delicious sandwich to our fans that is sure to reset industry standards,” Sami Siddiqui, president of Popeyes, told reporters of its latest marketing ploy that guarantees fans will love it.
As with all insurance policies, this one comes with fine print: the swap-it insurance offer is only good on launch day.
