BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

SRS opens Zurich office, hires three from Aon

Strategic Risk Solutions Inc. has opened an office in Zurich, Switzerland, and hired three former Aon PLC executives to serve captive and commercial insurance clients in the country.

Georg Balint joined SRS as managing director (Switzerland) effective Jan. 1, while Markus Beck will join as managing director (Switzerland) and Maria Sandoval as senior account manager (Switzerland) effective March 1, the Concord, Massachusetts-based captive manager said in a statement Tuesday.

Mr. Balint, who was previously senior consultant and head of actuarial & analytics at Aon Switzerland Ltd., will develop and lead SRS actuarial practice in Switzerland and support the European risk consulting operations, SRS said.

Mr. Beck, who previously served as managing director of captive operations at Aon Insurance Managers for Switzerland/Liechtenstein, will develop and lead the Swiss insurance management practice at SRS, the statement said.

Ms. Sandoval, who previously served as account manager at Aon Insurance Managers for Switzerland/Liechtenstein, will support servicing the firm’s Swiss domiciled clients.

“With its vigilant regulatory regime and stable operating environment, Switzerland is a key market for SRS, so this is another milestone in our goal of expanding the global reach of our company,” SRS CEO Brady Young said in the statement.
