USI unit buys motor sports insurance specialist

Safehold Special Risk Inc., the program management unit of broker USI Insurance Services LLC, has bought WSIB Insurance Agency LLC, a motor sports insurance agency.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
WSIB’s four-person team is headed by David Hatlem, president of the Charlotte, North Carolina-based agency.
The agency offers insurance programs for motor racing teams, racing facilities and off-track storage facilities, among other risks.
