Leaving behind gambling debt is one thing, but dying without life insurance?
Now that’s something to be ashamed about, according to the lifestyles news site Muse by Clio, reporting on a life insurance startup’s latest ad campaign.
Dallas-based Bestow recently released a series of advertisements that brings the shame game into life insurance sales with short funny vignettes that beg the question: “What if everyone knew you had no coverage?”
In one 30-second sketch filmed at a park, one mom says to another, as their children play nearby, “So, I hear you don’t have life insurance.”
“How? That’s incredibly hard to find out,” the other mother says.
“Oh, you know. People talk … It’s so brave of you to leave your family with all your debt when you die.”
Halloween can be a spooky time for homeowners who don’t manage their risk.
