BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Insurance scores big in farming out NFL players for commercials

When it comes to professional football players and commercials, insurance joins that of shoes, fast food and phone plans, according to an online news publication tackling the top 21 National Football League players-turned-actors when it comes to selling a product on air.

“So, the 2020 NFL season is off and running,” a sportswriter for the Cleo Network wrote Friday. “The canned crowd noise and creepy fan cutouts are bizarre new twists. But the slew of branding work starring NFL players… hocking everything from insurance to tech to tortilla chips to even more insurance—is quite familiar.”

At number 20 on the list was Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in his commercial for State Farm Insurance Co., which also nabbed the number 12 spot on the list featuring Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. State Farm scored another mention on the list at number 10, in its commercials featuring former Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams linebacker Clay Matthews.

Progressive Insurance Co. came in at number three in its contract with Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield.
