Brit names CEO of Lloyd’s syndicate Ki

Brit Ltd. on Thursday named chief financial officer Mark Allan as CEO of Ki, its digital Lloyd’s of London syndicate launched with Google Cloud.
A search has begun for a new group CFO to succeed Mr. Allan, Brit, a unit of Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd., said in a statement.
Mr. Allan has been Brit Group chief financial officer and Brit Ltd. group executive director since 2015, Brit said.
James Birch, current head of innovation at Brit, has also been named development director at Ki, while former Direct Line Group executive Alan Tua has been named portfolio director of the digital syndicate, Brit said.
Announced in May, Ki is a follow only syndicate that will provide automatic price quotes through a proprietary algorithm developed with University College London.
