USI buys Michigan agency

USI Insurance Services LLC has acquired Troy, Michigan-based agency Colburn Group Insurance, the brokerage announced Monday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Colburn places commercial property/casualty coverage, employee benefits and personal lines insurance.
Colburn’s nine employees, including Harry Colburn, chairman, and Pamela Haron, president, will join USI, the Valhalla, New York-based brokerage said in a statement.
USI is the world’s ninth-largest brokerage and the eighth-largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance‘s 2020 rankings.
