BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE has named former Willis Towers Watson PLC executive Thomas Kang head of cyber in North America, effective June 15.

The group was previously led by Gary Mann, who remains the head of professional indemnity for North America.

New York-based Mr. Kang will report to Paul Schiavone, North America regional head of financial lines, and regional head of corporate long tail lines and ART, the corporate insurance unit of Allianz SE said in a statement Tuesday.

In his new role, Mr. Kang will lead Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty’s cyber insurance efforts in North America, including cyber strategy, underwriting and client relationship management, the insurer said.

Kelly Castriotta remains the head of product development for all financial lines, including cyber, tech and media, a spokeswoman said.

Mr. Kang joins from Willis Towers Watson, where he served as global cyber product leader since 2018, formulating cyber product strategy across both traditional and specialty lines of business, Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty said.

Prior to that, Mr. Kang planned and implemented corporate strategy for cyber lines at The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc.

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty’s cyber gross premium written exceeded €100 million ($111.6 million) in 2019.
