Lockton Re names chairman of marine, energy

Lockton Global Re on Wednesday said it named Martin Stephenson to the newly created position of chairman of marine and energy, effective in July.
Mr. Stephenson will report to Keith Harrison, International CEO for Lockton Re, the broker said in its statement.
Based in London, Mr. Stephenson will work closely with Jerry Ridge, head of marine and energy, and Paul Upton, head of specialty lines, the statement said.
Mr. Stephenson was most recently part of the senior leadership team with Guy Carpenter & Co. LLC and was executive chairman of marine, energy and political risk for JLT Re when the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group PLC was acquired by Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. a year ago, the statement said.
