Allianz names Kiernan to North American reinsurance post

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE said Monday it has named Peter Kiernan head of North American reinsurance in its risk transfer division.
Mr. Kiernan, who is based in Bermuda and reports to ART chief underwriting officer Richard Boyd, is responsible for supporting the business sourcing activities backed by Allianz unit PIMCO ILS and Allianz Re capacity.
Mr. Kerman was most recently chief underwriting officer and president of Axis Re Bermuda, a unit of Axis Capital Holdings Ltd., according to the statement.
