Argo names Rehnberg permanent CEO

Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer Argo Group International Holdings Ltd. has appointed Kevin J. Rehnberg its permanent CEO, effective immediately.
Mr. Rehnberg has served as Argo’s interim CEO since November 2019 when Mark Watson, the insurer’s former CEO stepped down amid a probe into executive pay.
Mr. Rehnberg, who previously served as chief administrative officer and head of the Americas business, has been nominated to stand for election to Argo’s board of directors at its annual meeting to be held April 16, the insurer said in a statement Tuesday.
Argo also named Thomas A. Bradley to serve as chairman of the board of directors following the retirement of current chair Gary V. Woods whose term concludes April 16.
Mr. Woods joined Argo’s board in 2000 and has served as chairman since 2001, while Mr. Bradley became a director for Argo in 2018, the insurer said.
Prior to joining Argo in 2013, Mr. Rehnberg served as executive vice president for specialty lines at OneBeacon Insurance.
