Marsh recruits head of marine and cargo business

Marsh Ltd. on Monday named former underwriter Louise Nevill as CEO of Marsh JLT Specialty’s U.K. marine and cargo business.
She replaces Gordon Longley, who left to join recently formed brokerage McGill & Partners Ltd. earlier this year.
Ms. Nevill, who is based in London, will head a team of 200. Most recently, she led the marine underwriting team at Gard (U.K.) Ltd. and prior to that she was director of underwriting at Lloyd’s of London syndicate 1967 managed by WRB Underwriting, a unit of W.R. Berkley Corp.
She is expected to join Marsh early in 2020.
