BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Willis Towers Watson appoints global head of broking

Willis Towers Watson PLC on Thursday named longtime senior executive Joe Peiser to be global head of broking within its corporate risk and broking segment.

Mr. Peiser replaces Philip Smaje, who recently joined BGC Insurance Group as CEO of its new aviation and space insurance and reinsurance unit.

Based in New York, Mr. Peiser will maintain his current role as head of broking for North America and will report to Adam Garrard, global head of corporate risk and broking, Willis Towers Watson said.

Mr. Garrard recently replaced Todd Jones as global head of corporate risk and broking. Mr. Jones left the company to join QBE Insurance Group Ltd. as CEO of North America.

In the role, Mr. Peiser will lead Willis Towers Watson’s global broking strategy and drive the broking-related data and technology effort which focuses on capturing data and delivering analytics, the brokerage said.

Mr. Peiser joined Willis Towers Watson in 2014 and shortly afterward took on leadership of the company’s North America casualty broking business, becoming head of broking for the region in 2017, Willis Towers Watson said in a statement.
